Can users sign in with Google or Microsoft?

Yes. Users can sign in with their existing Google or Microsoft account as well as with email and password. This makes onboarding faster — no need to set or remember a separate Scanlog password.

How many users can I add to my account?

You can add up to 500 users to your account — no extra cost! Need more? Just drop us a line at contact@scanlog.co, and we’ll sort it out. Oh, and remember: our pricing is per asset, not per user.

How do I invite someone to Scanlog?

Accepted Answer

Go to Users and click Add User or Invite. Enter their email address, assign them a role, and optionally add them to groups. They'll receive an email with a link to activate their account and set their password. You can also invite users during the initial setup wizard.

What happens if a user leaves the organisation?

Accepted Answer

Deactivate their account from the Users page. A deactivated user can't sign in, but their full booking history is preserved. If they rejoin, you can reactivate the account without losing any records.

What's the difference between an Administrator and a Requestor?

Accepted Answer

Administrators have full access to all areas of the account — assets, bookings, users, reports, settings, and billing. Requestors can book assets and manage their own bookings, but can't access admin areas. These are the two built-in roles. You can also create custom groups with any combination of permissions you need.
